What is the A.R.E.? The Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.^® (A.R.E.^®) is the international headquarters for the work of Edgar Cayce (1877 - 1945), who is considered the best documented psychic of the Twentieth Century. Founded in 1931, the A.R.E. consists of people from all walks of life and spiritual traditions. A.R.E. Headquarters offers membership benefits and services, a bi-monthly magazine, a newsletter, publications, extracts from the Cayce readings, conferences, international tours, a massage school curriculum, and a retreat-type camp for children and adults.

What is the A.R.E. Pacific Northwest Region? Established in 1992, the A.R.E. Pacific Northwest Region serves the membership in British Columbia and Yukon in Canada and Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Western Montana in the U.S.A. The membership is fostered at the local level with a quarterly newsletter, study group starting and nurturing, a prayer network a lending library, youth outreach, programs and retreats. The Region is served by a Coordinator and a Region Core Team which consists of representatives from Area Teams throughout the Region . The major interface between individual members and study groups, and the Region structure, Area Teams consist of volunteers who plan and facilitate activities for their area membership.
