Speaker Schedule: January through June, 2009

 

Our purpose is to inform, share, and develop a sense of community between people who are open to exploring varieties of spiritual and metaphysical experience and the nature of the mind.

Meeting at Unitarian Fellowship Hall, 595 Townsite, first and third Thursdays of each month, at 7 pm.

Jan 1st             NEW YEAR’S DAY -- Network Pot Luck Celebration.  Bring your favourite dish to share with Network Friends and Colleagues.  Pot Luck: 6 pm  Welcome 2009 with a fun-filled evening catching up on all the news, and with a meditation at 8:30 pm, to start the New Year off right!  Families welcome! HAPPY NEW YEAR

Jan. 15th           Family Constellations, Understanding Hidden Family Dynamics - with Henri Van Amerongen.   Henri has developed a highly efficient life coach/counselling approach by combining European life coaching and counselling techniques.  Henri is the president and founder of the Dare 2bU Academy Inc. in Nanaimo.

 

Jan. 29             (Fifth Thursday) Nanaimo Metaphysical Network AGM – Election of Officers, Advisory Board.  Please attend if you are interested in assisting in guiding the future development of the Network. 

6 pm: Pot Luck, 7 pm: Business meeting.

Feb. 5th            Star Dreams, A Feature Documenting the Mystery of Crop Circles – featuring the Documentary’s Producer, Robert Nichol, who will be pleased to answer questions.   His sensational, award-winning Documentary on Crop Circles includes inspiring interviews with well-known international crop circle theorists and researchers.


Feb. 19th          A Gift of Spirit; an Enchanting Concert with vocalist, Elly Parker; Lora Teuschler and her amazing crystal bowls; Leah Morgan and the haunting sounds of her dijeridu; and others.  An etheric exploration of sounds that will inspire and awaken your inner spirit.

Mar. 5th           Your Life; Why It Is the Way It Is and What You Can Do About It - Judith & William Munns  present the immutable universal laws that govern our lives. For instance, learn how the law of cause and effect is just as real as the law of gravity. Learn to build your life, not just let it happen! t/b/a: Workshop Series to follow!

Mar 19th           Being Human and Self-Healing  with Thorsten and Imke Heimann.  Presenting an alternative viewpoint of who we are, and why we should focus on healing from within.  Using a Case Study they will explain the aura and how it allows us to visualize the effect that physical and spiritual memory has on our health.  Learn their unique tools for self healing.  Imke and Thorsten are co-owners of Heimann Counselling and Healing.

Apr 2nd            Atlantis and Earth Changes  with Oregon author and researcher Raymond Tarpey. The study of Atlantis provides many lessons for us to follow today:  especially those regarding earth changes and the care of our planet. WORKSHOP FOLLOWS, Saturday, April 4th.

Apr 16th           Tentative:  After The Light features author Kimberly Clark Sharp, Researcher and Founder of Seattle IANDS (International Association of Near Death Studies).  In her humorous review of the exciting world of the near death experiencers, Kimberly presents a delightful collection of stories and lessons taken from her own near death experiences and the thousands of experiencers whom she has interviewed.  Saturday workshop follows: April 18th.

 

April 30th          (Fifth Thursday) Second Annual Psychic Pot Luck – What? A psychic at every table? AGAIN? Yes, there will be a few changes, but it’ll be even better! Watch for details!

May 7th            The Sacred Energy of Animals with Jan Laidlaw.  Explore the profound connections possible with pets and other creatures, both in life and in the spirit world. Jan is a medium and video writer and producer, who has worked with animals for many years. She has been St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Coordinator, Dog Agility Instructor, SPCA board member and Pet of the Week host.

May 21st          Chanting as Spiritual Practice with Daeva N Guest.  Learn the history and application of contemplative, shamanic and spontaneous chanting.  Experience the healing sounds of harmonium, framedrum, native American flute and voice.   Daeva N Guest is a local chant artist, musician and Mayan Dreamspell Consultant. She has 20 years experience performing and facilitating transformational forms of theatre, dance and music.

June 4th            2012, Edgar Cayce and the Mayawith author Carole Chapman from Virginia.   Carole’s power point presentation of ancient mysteries reveal the Mayan ruins in a new light. Discover Edgar Cayce’s readings on the Atlantean and Lemurian origins of the Mayan culture and decide for yourself if 2012 is just whoopla, or Day One of another 26,000 year cycle.   Carole is the author of When We Were Gods and Arrival of Gods in Egypt.

June 18th          Close Encounters: UFO Experiences -  Led by a panel of our cofounders, Myrtle Innes, and Judith Munns; and retired lawyer Gilles Broerse, Networkers are invited to share UFO, abductee, or contactee experiences.  What can we learn from the encounters others have experienced?

June 20th          3rd Annual Solstice Celebration – Even bigger and better this year. (We may even go public!)  Watch for details…
